Primary Care to offer sports checkups for students
5/1/2023

Community Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine has scheduled clinics for student athletes ages 12–18 and entering grades 7–12 who need a physical to participate in sports.
These clinics will be held July 27 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Aug. 8 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The location for both clinics will be the third floor of the Baldwin Building, 221 Fourth Avenue SW, in Rochester.
The clinics are available to adolescent patients who receive their primary care at Mayo Clinic in Rochester or Mayo Family Clinic Kasson. No college sports physicals or camp exams will be conducted.
During the visit, the patient will move through a series of stations to complete vision/hearing screenings, immunizations and a physical examination, which meets all requirements of a well-visit examination. Patients who have had a well-visit examination within the past year may not require another exam. Contact your primary care clinician with questions.
Appointments required
Appointments are required for these clinics. Appointment phone lines will open May 1. Contact the patient's primary care clinician's appointment office.
Direct scheduling also will be available through Patient Online Services, beginning May 1. Patients 13 to 18 need to have their own account to schedule the visit. For children 12 years of age, the parent or guardian can schedule using the proxy setup.
