Mayo Clinic Sibshops to offer 'Family Sibshops: Wild Night Out'
Mayo Clinic Sibshops supports siblings who have a brother or sister with a chronic illness, lifelong health concern or disability. The program brings these siblings together to express the good and bad about having a brother or sister with special health concerns — and to have a day that focuses on them.
Events are held multiple times a year. Each even has a fun theme to get participants involved and supported by their peers.
The next event will be "Family Sibshops: Wild Night Out." This event will be held Aug. 17 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Oxbow Park & Zollman Zoo, 5731 County Road 105 NW, in Byron, Minnesota. The cost to register is $10. Scholarships are available upon request.
A Chick-fil-A food truck will serve dinner, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Refer to their online menu regarding dietary restrictions. Family activities will follow dinner.
Share this information with any families you know who may be interested in participating in the program. Participants need to register in advance.
