Express Care locations at Rochester Hy-Vee stores closed temporarily due to COVID-19
For the safety of patients and shoppers at Hy-Vee locations during the COVID-19 virus outbreak, Mayo Clinic is temporarily closing the Express Care sites in Rochester Hy-Vee locations effective March 23, 2020. There are options for care that do not require a visit to the clinic including:
- Message your care team through your Patient Online Services account.
- Express Care Online offers virtual care for 20 common health concerns for patients 18 months old through 75 years. This service is available 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., 365 days a year, with a one-hour turnaround during normal business hours. (Outside of normal business hours you can expect a reply by 9 a.m. the following day.) The cost of the Mayo Clinic Express Care Online appointment may be partially or completely covered by your insurance. Check with your insurance provider for more information.
Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., has also implemented visitor restrictions
As Mayo Clinic continues to monitor the outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus disease), the ongoing safety of our patients, staff and communities remains our primary focus. To protect our patients and staff, additional visitor restrictions are now in place for our facilities in Rochester.
Effective Sunday, March 22, to ensure the safety of hospital patients and staff, no visitors will be allowed in the hospital setting or emergency department. Exceptions include consideration for childbirth, end-of-life care, hospitalized children, and other rare and unique circumstances assessed by the care team.
Effective Monday, March 23, outpatient clinic patients may have one person accompany them, with consideration for special exceptions determined by patient care teams.
We understand that these restrictions will be difficult for patients and their loved ones. We are taking these necessary steps to protect our patients and our staff. As always, the needs of our patients come first.
