Stepping On Program: Building confidence, reducing falls

Stepping On is a program that builds confidence and empowers older adults to carry out health behaviors that reduce the risks of falls. It is a community-based workshop offered once a week for seven weeks. In a small group setting, participants will learn about improving strength and balance, home hazards and modifications, safe footwear, vision and falls, community safety, and medicine review.

This 7 week program will be held Thursday’s from 10 am - 12 pm, June 23 through August 4, 2016.


$20.00 per participant

Requirements / Who Qualifies

Consider the Stepping On program if you: 

  • Are 60 years or older
  • Have had a fall in the past or are fearful of falling
  • Are living independently in a home or apartment
  • Walk independently or with a cane
  • Are not suffering from dementia
